1. All hospital visitors should enter the hospital through the new building entrance.
2. All visitors should be given a numbered visitor’s pass after surrendering a valid identification card.
3. For visitors without a valid identification card, their names should be logged in the guard on duty’s logbook and countersigned by the visitor.
4. The visitor’s pass should be prominently displayed while inside the hospital premises.
5. All children below 7 years old, unless they are the patient, are barred from entering the hospital premises.
6. Each patient can have a maximum of 2 visitors at a single time. If more visitors would want to enter, the other visitors have to come out first to decongest the area.
7. Special areas such as the Medical Intensive Care Unit and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit have their own visiting policies and will also be enforced.
8. All problems and concerns re: visitors and watchers in the hospital will be coursed through and dealt with by the hospital management after proper requisition, investigation and deliberation.
B. Policy and Procedure on Hospital Watchers
1. The patient’s watchers can enter the two access points of the hospital as long as they exit where they came from.
2. All watchers should be given a pass after surrendering a valid identification card.
3. For watchers without a valid identification card, their names should be logged in the guard on duty’s logbook and countersigned by the watcher. The watcher should be highly encouraged to present an identification card the next time.
The number of watchers allowed per room is as follows:
4. Additional watchers can be allowed upon the discretion of the management taking into consideration other factors primarily the condition of the patient.
5. All problems and concerns re: visitors and watchers in the hospital will be coursed through and dealt with by the hospital management after proper requisition, investigation and deliberation.
C. The following are barred from entering the hospital premises:
1. Intoxicated or drugged clients if they are not the patient themselves
2. Children below 7 years of age unless they are the patient themselves
3. Clients with firearms and explosives devices unless they surrender the said devices to the guard on duty or they are uniformed and/or properly credentialed law enforcement officers on duty at the time of visit.
4. Law enforcement officers conducting an investigation without proper clearance from the hospital administration.
5. Media crew who does not have any prior clearance from the hospital administration.
